Theater 101 Audience Enrichment SeminarOpening Windows Into the Work
Theater 101 is an in-depth process designed for theater lovers interested in deepening their understanding of how a show is developed. Over the course of four sessions, participants receive unprecedented access to a show's journey – from director concept to technical rehearsal to performance. Led by Arena Stage’s Literary Manager, this intimate class size of 20 participants provides for more individual attention and deeper exploration of the stages of rehearsal and performance. Courses are outlined below:
Smokey Joe’s CafÉ The Songs of Leiber and Stoller
Words and Music by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller
Directed by Randy Johnson
Choreography by Parker Esse
April 25-June 8
$275 for all four sessions plus a show poster signed by the cast!

Participants are then led into the house to watch a portion of that day’s technical rehearsal.
