Parts of the Day
Every day campers attend their five pre-selected activities, called Dailies. These are chosen from a host of classes in areas of theater, dance, music, visual arts and media. See the sidebar for a small sampling of past Dailies.
In their Dailies, campers focus their energies on and explore five particular activities for the full camp session.
Campers can choose activities all within the same discipline or a variety of disciplines. We celebrate and empower campers’ choices!
Dailies are posted in April, after the teaching staff is hired. Campers select their Dailies in May. Campers receive their schedules on the first day of camp. Schedules can be changed on a space-available basis during the first few days of camp.
We have a show every day at Camp Arena Stage! Campers, staff and guest artists perform as individuals, small groups or classes in front of the most supportive audience you’ll meet. Acts range from rock bands to hula hooping, from musical theater dance numbers to violin solos. Family and friends are always welcome! Noontime Shows also feature performances by our talented faculty and guest artists.
Every day needs variety! After the Noontime Show, campers choose a one-shot recreational or arts activity that they will do for 50 minutes. Dance party, soccer, karaoke, jewelry making, solo voice coaching, video editing, French braiding, theater games, yoga, juggling, photo safaris, stage makeup, stage combat: choices are different each day and provide a fun change of pace in the afternoon.
