Workshops & Residencies
Learn and create: Arena Stage tailors theater workshops for your group, school or organization to address your current needs. Speak with Arena’s Community Engagement staff to determine how to create the best experience for your group. Arena’s staff is highly trained to work with a wide range of participants – from those with no prior experience to those interested in advanced theater techniques.
“I cannot speak highly enough of the actors that worked with our youth. They were dynamic and sparked such an interest in our young people.
The children in our program come from deeply varied backgrounds and family lives with grief and poverty a commonality. Arena Stage provided an outlet for some of the most introverted non-verbal students to gain confidence expressing a message...I would highly recommend Arena Stage to any program. Arena Stage provided an outlet.”

Arena Stage offers workshops and residencies for preschool through college students, teachers, artists, schools, community agencies, hospitals, corporations and private functions.
Arena Stage staff members work with you to plan a workshop or residency that will meet your group’s goals through theater, whether they be teambuilding, arts training, public speaking or creating a piece of art. For a more intensive experience for your group, a residency (a series of workshops) can be developed. Residencies can explore multiple topics or can focus on a single topic, advancing in subsequent sessions.
Workshops can take place at
Arena Stage or at your location.
One-time workshops range in length
from 90 minutes to a full day.
