Additionally, Taylor has worked on Dreams of Sarah Breedlove (Alabama Shakespeare), The Ties That Bind (Alliance), Oo-Bla-Dee (Goodman; 2000 Steinberg Award), Urban Zulu Mambo, Escape from Paradise, Watermelon Rinds, Inside the Belly of the Beast, A Night in Tunisia, Mudtracks, Between the Lines and Behind Every Good Man. Her acting credits include roles on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in numerous regional theaters, as well as the films Clockers, Losing Isaiah, Lean on Me, A Family Thing, Courage Under Fire, and The Negotiator. For her role as Lilly Harper on the TV series I’ll Fly Away, she received an NAACP Image Award, Emmy nom, and Golden Globe. Her other TV credits include The Education of Max Bickford, FEDS, Law & Order, Crisis at Central High, The Howard Beach Story, Children of the Dust, and Strange Justice.
