Go back to school in style! To celebrate our season kicking off with Jaja's African Hair Braiding, we're inviting you to a free back-to-school hair event on Saturday, August 24.

Books, Braids & Beyond will combine hair care and school prep into a can't-miss afternoon at Arena Stage. Join in the fun of Moving Stories through the beloved book Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry. Then experience an insightful demonstration from our partners at Dudley Beauty College as they answer your questions about adopting healthy habits to maintain and protect all hair types. Finally, pick up a bookbag filled with school supplies donated by the College Park/Sandy Spring Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. to start your school year right!
