Sculpture (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Travis-Michael Coleman
Design and build work in three dimensions. We will investigate a variety of mediums, and sculpture techniques which will allow you to explore and express your individual style.
Supplies: Supply list will be mailed to registered campers in May. Supplies will not total more than $25.
The Musical! (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Wes Braver
This summer's hit musical is about to be written! Learn how a group of artists come together to tell a story with songs and scenes. Guided by a professional composer, playwright and lyricist, we will work together to write and perform a short, imaginative musical for Zoom.
Broadway Jazz (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Nurney
Broadway Jazz, sometimes called musical theater dance, is a celebration of movement in the theater. Storytelling is the biggest aspect of this dance style. Campers will learn how to convey a message through their bodies to some of Broadway's biggest hits. Broadway is constantly evolving, and campers will learn how to put their best foot forward -- literally and figuratively!
Stage Make-Up (ages 12-15)
Instructor: LaShawn Melton
Learn the basics of the arts and the crafts of makeup design and application, both 2D and 3D. We’ll cover age makeup, headshot makeup, contour and highlighting, animal/fantasy and FX makeup. Parents/guardians should ensure that their camper is not allergic to any of the supplies required for the class.

Additional: baby wipes, face soap, triangle make-up sponges, makeup sharpener, hand towel/wash cloth, headband and or bobby pins, glue stick, scissors, school glue, oatmeal, cold cream and a cup for water
Voice Acting (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Mallory Shear
Voice actors can create a full emotional range and tell a story without using their bodies – just their voices. We will learn how to use voice acting to create many different characters. We will also learn about Foley sound effects, all culminating in a 1920-style radio drama.
Mini Murals (ages 8-12)

Have you ever seen a giant painting on the side of a building or on a wall in your school? Murals like these are artistic ways to inspire people and make change in the world. Campers will make miniature murals using crayon, paint and pastels to explore social justice issues and help build a bright future.

Fantasy Make-Up (ages 10-12)
Instructor: LaShawn Melton
Show different sides of who you are or become a different character using makeup. This class teaches the basics of designing and applying makeup. Learn about face painting, character/animal design, fantasy and create a final design of your choice. Parent/guardians should ensure that their camper has no allergies to any of the products or supplies required for the class.

Jazz Dance (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Nurney
Jazz is an American dance style, that draws aspects from other genres including: ballet, hip hop, modern, and contemporary. Jazz focuses on technique, but encourages musicality and personality. Campers should expect to sweat, gain flexibility, but most of all have fun!
Songwriting Studio (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Wes Braver
What makes that song on the radio so catchy? What makes our favorite songs pull at our heartstrings, or just make us happy? Come learn the basics of songwriting, from the idea, to the lyrics, to the music. NOTE: No previous musical training required!
Shipwreck Shakespeare (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Mallory Shear
Ahoy and Avast, Ye Artistes! CAS Classics goes to sea this summer, exploring Shakespeare’s love of shipwrecking his characters and the comedy and drama that follows. No SCUBA gear required.
Podcasting (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Ky’Lend J Adams
Make yourself heard and dive deep into fun and personal stories. Artists will work together or independently to create a podcast, by delving into individual stories around a theme. Inform, excite and mesmerize your audience one story at a time. Access to a cell phone or external microphone required.
Musical Theater Solos and Auditions (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Nicki Elledge
Find your authentic voice in the audition room! You will learn how to slate, build a musical theater audition book, interpret a song and confidently audition with two contrasting 16-bar cuts. Campers will have accompaniment recorded just for them!
Fiber Arts (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Rosie Alger
From traditional weaving to out-of-the-box sculpture work, the creative possibilities with yarn are endless! Together, artists will explore different styles and techniques with yarn, felt, and more to create original and dynamic fiber arts. We will explore historical and modern examples and try our hand at various 2D and 3D crafts to learn more about all that fiber art has to offer!
Supplies:
Embroidery floss
Assorted felt sheets
Large stitching needle
Two skeins of yarn (choice of color)
Push pins
Additional: plain paper, pencil, scissors, glue, recycled materials, old t-shirts or clothes that can be discarded
30-Second Dances (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Brandon Glass
Are you ready to dance once that music comes on? This 30-Second Dance class will give you exactly what you need to not only light up the dance floor, but also be able to get many people to join you! In this class we focus on short, catchy dances, easy to remember and fun to do.
Acting Techniques (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Olivia Jones
Take your acting skills to the next level. In this class, actors will focus on performance elements such as character, objectives, obstacles and tactics. These performance techniques will then be incorporated as we work on monologues and/or scenes.
