Comics and Cartooning (ages 10-12)
Instructor: Rosie Alger
Have you ever wondered what it takes to create a show like Steven Universe or Pokemon? Artists in this camp session will learn how to draw in different cartoon and character styles, such as anime or graphic novel style. We will work together to develop our own designs and stories. Let’s create wacky and fun worlds together!

Hip-Hop Dance (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Brandon Glass
A class filled with music, movement and inclusion that welcomes young dancers to study the hip-hop dance genre. We will stretch our knowledge and understanding of hip-hop dance, using different fundamentals and exciting combinations to push the limits of the mind and body! In this class we believe in encouraging each other with positive intentions and productive practice!
Silent Movie (ages 8-12)

Lights! Camera! Action! Shhhhhhh! Explore the exciting world of silent film this summer. Learn physical comedy routines in the style of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton and film your own silent masterpiece! It'll be the quietest fun you've ever had!
Acting (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Olivia Jones
Have you ever wanted to be in a play? In this class, young actors will learn about teamwork and the three acting tools they will need to perform on stage! We will learn to work with a script by rehearsing and sharing mini-monologues and performing scenes with our fellow actors.
Becoming a Magician! (ages 8-12)
Instructor: Nate Dendy
Learn what you need to put on your own magic show for friends and family. With simple items, like a deck of playing cards or coins, you can make minor miracles. We will learn tricks together as a group, and be an audience for each other so you can eventually go off and perform for your own audiences. This class will require some focus and outside practice time on the part of the student.
Writing for the Stage (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Ky’Lend J. Adams
Brainstorm a plot. Create interesting and dynamic characters. Express the character' emotions using strong dialogue. In this class we will write a 10-minute play for the stage. Artists will explore all of the elements of playwriting to showcase a portion of the play at the end of the camp session.
Abstract Mixed Media (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Travis-Michael Coleman
Campers will use a variety of materials, including paint, textiles, clay, and more, to create abstract artwork that can only be interpreted by the imagination.

Musical Theater (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Nicki Elledge
In musical theater, dance, song and text can combine powerfully to tell stories on stage. Sharpen your skills by learning choreography and songs from contemporary musicals like Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen and Next to Normal. Whether speaking, dancing or singing, we’ll also be working on our acting skills to help tell the story well.
Acting for the Camera (ages 12-15)
Instructor: Mauricio Pita
Learn techniques and tools that will help you produce an honest and authentic performance for film and television. You will learn how to shift your performance according to camera angles and lighting, as well as techniques that will ground your character and strengthen your focus when working on a professional set. Actors in the class will apply all the tools towards a filmed performance of a published television/film monologue.
Marvelous Mosaics and Collage (ages 8-10)
Instructor: Travis-Michael Coleman
Mosaic is the decorative art of making pictures and patterns on a surface by arranging tiny pieces of colored objects such as beads, cloth and glass to make stunning works of art. Collage is another way of gluing, stacking and combining pictures and objects to make art. Get ready to get creative and make projects to keep or share.

Musical Theater (ages 8-12)

Feel the joy of musical theater while we work on vocal and movement basics and put it all together with pieces from Broadway hits like Matilda and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Lights, Camera, Commercials! (ages 8-12)

Have you ever imagined being able to create and star on a TV commercial? Now you can with “Lights, Camera, Commercials!” We will work together to write, produce, film, and star in our own television commercial. Learn the magic of camera angles, the power of lighting, the excitement of collaboration and sharpen your talent to share it with the world.
Mini Masterpieces (ages 10-12)

Welcome to the world of arts and crafts! This class is all about making small projects of all kinds inspired by gardens, flowers, whimsy and tiny creatures. Make crafts to keep or give as gifts.

Newspaper (ages 8-15)
Instructor: Ky’Lend J. Adams
Interview campers! Snap a photo! Doodle a cartoon! Together we’ll come up with a name for the paper, the stories we want to report and the best way to capture all of the things that go on around virtual camp. At the end of the session we will send out a virtual copy of the CAS newspaper to our friends and family.
Painting (ages 12-15)

Hone your craft in this foundational painting course. Together we will explore different painting styles and mediums, such as watercolor and acrylic, and learn skills that artists can build upon to create their own masterpieces! This deep dive into technique is perfect for anyone looking to find their own artistic voice.

“It’s Alive!”: Franken-Filmmaking (ages 12-15)

Dig into key moments of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and bring them to life. Explore lighting, music, puppetry, foley, and film as we create a monster and develop artistic pieces to showcase our work.
