THIS IS YOUR LIFE! by Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew

Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew is a puppetry artist based in NYC. She devises interdisciplinary productions that experiments with and challenges the boundaries of puppetry.  She seeks to use puppetry as a visual medium for contemporary storytelling within an interdisciplinary context.  New York Times described her project with Target Margin Lab, Act 4 of The Iceman Cometh, as “consistently inventive”.  Her original works were often performed to sold-out houses at La MaMa, St. Ann’s Warehouse, National Sawdust, and at the Prague Quadrennial.

THIS IS YOUR LIFE! The film is a 5 to 8 minutes long whimsical retrospective of a person’s life from stories collected through interviews and questionnaire with the person and/or with other members designated by the purchaser.  Exact content to be discussed and the rendition is not a documentary but is an artistic representation.  The style of puppetry featured in the film will either be shadow or toy theater* puppetry (different fee).  It will take an estimate of 6 weeks from the time of commission till delivery.  Exact timeline to be discussed and agreed upon between purchaser and artist.
