Mead and Metro Ensembles
Our Story, Our Stage: Ensemble Playmaking class is for dedicated students, providing young people an engaging environment in which to write, perform, and share stories that shape their lives.
Artists in the Mead and Metro Ensembles are comprised of the students in Our Story, Our Stage: Ensemble Playmaking Class at Arena Stage. This class is designed for dedicated student-artists in middle and high school who are eager to write, perform, and share the stories. Over the course of the spring semester, participants engage in weekly sessions from February to May, where they learn the Voices of Now devising process and techniques. Students explore personal, relevant topics and work collaboratively to create an original, autobiographical theater piece. The class culminates in a performance at the Voices of Now Festival at Arena Stage.
No prior performance experience is required—just a passion for storytelling and a commitment to creative expression.
