2022/23 Auditons

General Auditions for Arena Stage

 

IN-PERSON, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Thank you for your interest. For the upcoming 2022/23 season, all of the appointments for our in-person auditions (to be held May 10-13, 2022) have been filled. If you would still like to be considered, please follow the directions below in the "Unable to Attend in Person" section to submit your materials via email.

Accessibility

Arena Stage is accessible for all abilities, please let us know in advance of specific accommodations.

Appointments

Appointments are first come first serve. As we are trying to accommodate as many people as possible, please ensure that you are available for your timeslot. 

How to Prepare

  • Please prepare a short monologue and a short song OR two contrasting monologues. 
  • Auditions may not exceed 5 minutes total.
  • Accompanist will be provided.
  • No separate warm-up space will be provided, please arrive ready to audition.

Casting Personnel

The personnel present for auditions will include: Joseph Pinzon, Artistic Associate – Casting and William Yanesh, Accompanist.

Please note that additional members of Arena’s Artistic Development team may also be present throughout the day, depending on individual schedules.

COVID Guidelines

Due to Arena's policies in response to the pandemic, please check into the theatre no earlier than 15 mins before your appointment. Masks are required in the building, except during your audition. Please bring proof of vaccination and ID. For our full safety policy, read our Safety Protocols.

IF UNABLE TO ATTEND IN-PERSON

We also accept and will review all materials we receive for those unable to attend auditions in-person. We will contact artists individually to schedule auditions based on their suitability for roles.

Material Submission Guidelines

  • Save your most current headshot & resume as ONE PDF file, in that order:
    • Headshot as first page
    • Resume as second page of the same PDF file
      • Resume should be no longer than 1 page
  • Name your PDF as follows: Last Name_First Name_HR22
  • You may include a MAXIMUM of 2 links to reels, demos, and/or self-tapes (no longer than 2 mins each)
  • Email your materials to casting@arenastage.org
    • Subject line: Arena Stage General Submission 2022 – Last Name, First Name (preferred pronouns)

Please feel free to invite us to any performances you may have in the area, as well. We would love to see your work on stage. Please do not mail hard copies of your headshot/resume.
