  • About the Artist

    Parker Esse is a multi-award-winning and story-driven director/choreographer. After performing regionally, in national tours, and as a featured performer on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning Fosse, he began collaborating exclusively on multiple regional and Broadway shows as associate director/choreographer, including Broadway's Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Award nominated Finian's Rainbow and A Tale of Two Cities, as well as five-star studded NY City Center Encores! productions. As a choreographer, Parker exploded onto the scene with the groundbreaking and re-imagined Oklahoma! (Arena Stage) as well as Stephen Sondheim and Wynton Marsalis’ A Bed and a Chair directed by John Doyle (NY City Center Encores!). Parker has directed/choreographed for numerous NYC, regional and international theatres and is an eight-time Helen Hayes Nominee for Best Choreography, winning for Arena Stage's Oklahoma!The Pajama Gamestarring Donna McKechnie, and most recently for Anything Goes starring Corbin Bleu. Recent director and/or choreographer credits include: the highly acclaimed revival of Rags (Goodspeed); La Traviata (The Kennedy Center’s WNO); pre-Broadway Toronto engagement of Jukebox Hero featuring Foreigner's Greatest Hits (Ed Mirvish Theatre); pre-Broadway world premiere of Love And Other Fables (Theatre By The Sea); 45 Minutes From Coontown(York Theatre Co.); The Buddy Holly Story (Casa Manana); Lyrics & Lyricists Celebrates Oklahoma! at 75 (92nd St. Y); seven seasons for the Physician’s Mutual of Omaha Symphony Orchestra Christmas Celebration; and multiple pre-Broadway new works, Equity showcases, and 29-Hour Readings. Most recently, last fall DC saw Parker’s Helen Hayes nominated choreography for the record-breaking hit show Disney’s Newsies (Arena Stage). BFA NYU Tisch.

    For Lovers of Dance: Are you looking for a fun way to keep moving and be active with friends or a tailored one-on-one session? Is your child/teen looking to create a fun activity for social distancing with friends? Do you know a couple celebrating a special anniversary or occasion? Do you need a unique and fun birthday party idea? Are you ready to create an energetic and entertaining togetherness activity for your whole family? Then come join Parker for a very special opportunity that you, your friends, or your whole family will love. Can’t wait to dance and party with you! 
     
    Are you looking to keep your technique strong and your dancing physique in tip-top shape? Join Parker as you focus on isolating and maintaining proper technique and strength conditioning, while picking up style and combinations quickly with ease. Parker will positively challenge you to take risks, not only as dancer, but a well-rounded performer, and help you exceed your own expectations! 
     
    If you have a favorite or special song you would like to use during the session, you are asked to let Parker know up to four days prior to class. Classes will take place over Zoom. 

    Cost:
    $65/30 minutes, up to 4 people ($15 for each additional person thereafter) 
    $100/60 minutes, up to 4 people ($20 for each additional person thereafter)
